Membership Definitions
Individual Member
An INDIVIDUAL member is a person who joins in his or her own name.
- A single person.
- A married person and spouse.
Entity Member
An ENTITY member is a corporation, limited liability company, association, partnership, trust or one individual who is a stockholder, member, partner, trustee, officer or key employee who is designated by the entity to participate individually in the activities and benefits derived from that membership.
Standard Membership Dues
Agricultural Membership $205 Annually
One who shall reasonably expect to receive, during the current membership year, any income from actual farming operations in the State of California, can be owner, lessee, officer, or substantial shareholder or a full – time employee of an agricultural business.
Or any individual/entity who wants to
Business example: company who sells ag products to farmers and ranchers or a business that assists farmers and ranchers.
Membership Includes:
An annual subscription to Ag Alert, the weekly agricultural issues newspaper from California Farm Bureau.
An annual subscription to Mendocino Country Life, the quarterly publication from Mendocino County Farm Bureau.
The right to vote on qualified issues at the county Farm Bureau level.
The ability to run for a Director position on the Mendocino County Board of Directors.
All of the benefit programs related to Farm Bureau membership
Use of office resources, such as; compliance materials, staff assistance, advocacy efforts.
Associate Membership $110 Annually
One who is not a agricultural or collegiate member, but supports the preservation of agriculture and the rural lifestyle.
Membership Includes:
An annual subscription to California Bountiful, the bi-monthly consumer based magazine from California Farm Bureau.
An annual subscription to Mendocino Country Life, the quarterly publication from Mendocino County Farm Bureau.
Most of the benefit programs related to Farm Bureau membership.
Collegiate Membership $25 Annually
This member would be 16-24 years old, attending a college or other formal level of higher education. Only receive other Farm Bureau related benefits if still qualified under a parent/guardians qualified Agricultural or Associate membership.
Membership Includes:
Online access to Ag Alert, the weekly agricultural issues newspaper from California Farm Bureau.
Ability to apply for the California Farm Bureau scholarship program
Networking opportunities for internship opportunities and local and state contacts.
Information on the local and state Young Farmers and Ranchers program.
Premium Membership Dues
Silver Level Premium Membership $285 Annually
Recommended for businesses with 2 or more employees
Membership Includes:
1 Membership (Associate/Agricultural)
Listing in event programs (Annual Fundraiser and Annual Meeting)
Called out listing in Mendocino Country Life Newsletter (4X/year); Top page listing in the business directory section if member is a business
Use of office training materials
Up to 2 employees can attend MCFB workshops/trainings at discounted rate
Gold Level Premium Membership $550 Annually
Recommended for businesses with 3 or more employees.
Membership Includes:
1 Membership (Associate/Agricultural)
Listing in event programs (Annual Fundraiser and Annual Meeting)
Logo and website link for business (if applicable) on MCFB website
Called out listing in Mendocino Country Life Newsletter (4X/year); Top page listing in the business directory section if member is a business
10% off advertising rates in Mendocino Country Life
Use of office training materials
Workshops/trainings: 1 free employee attendance & up to 3 employees can attend at discounted rate
Business can provide up to 2 contacts to receive all MCFB outreach information (E-letter, Executive Director Updates, etc); additional employees can receive limited outreach information
Platinum Level Premium Membership $1100 Annually
Recommended for businesses with 5 or more employees.
Membership Includes:
1 Business Membership (Associate/Agricultural)
